Ghost Stories
If your children delight in spooky stories, your whole family can now enjoy those spine-tingling sensations right in the comfort of
j your home.
Striking Fear with a Torch. This idea is for older children who find scary things fascinating. Turn off the lights. Put on a ski mask or a Halloween mask, or make an ugly face. If you have a cassette or CD player, turn on some eerie background music, or the children’s own pre-recorded spooky soundtrack. If you don’t have a cassette player, do a little moaning and groaning. Then suddenly, shine a torch on your own masked face!
When the screams and giggles subside, you can begin telling your favourite ghost story. When you’re finished, turn off the torch and pass it and the mask to the next ghost storyteller.
Tales in the Tent. This idea is for children who don’t like their rooms too dark or their stories too scary
Stretch a cord between a doorknob and a chair. Throw a sheet over the top and stake it out on both sides with small piles of books. Crawl in beside your children. Then snuggle together and read a few not-too-spooky supernatural stories by torchlight
